  3. The headset display will show its battery percent for about five seconds, and a light will appear on the side of the device next to the 5 control buttons.
Determining eye dominance

Placing the display pod in front of your dominant eye will provide a more accurate preview and better visual information processing.

  1. To determine your eye dominance, extend your arms out in front of you with palms facing away. Bring your hands together to form a small triangle with your thumbs and forefingers.
  2. With both eyes open, center a distant object within the triangle — such as a glass, a picture, or a door handle. While maintaining focus on the object, close your left eye. If the item stays centered, you’re right-eye dominant, and you should place the display pod on the right side.
  3. If your hands no longer frame the object, you are left-eye dominant, and you should place the display pod on the left side.
  4. If the object remains centered regardless of the eye you close, you are dominant eye neutral and can use either side.
Attaching SPX to Workband

The headband allows you to wear the SPX using either your right eye or your left eye.

  1. Loop the velcro strap through the loop on the other end of the headband to make a circle. Ensure the plastic clips are facing the outside of the circle.
  2. Place the headband on your head, with the wide part on your forehead, and the strap on the back of your head.
  3. Tighten the strap on your head until it is tight enough to not move when you move your head around, but not too tight for comfort.
  4. Lift the headband off your head, without undoing the strap.
  5. Clip the SPX device into place on the plastic clip, ensuring it is on the correct side of the head strap for your Eye Dominance.
  6. Ensure that the camera is facing the direction of the widest portion of the headband.
  7. Use the velcro tie down to secure the device to the headband. The tie down should secure in between the Moziware logo and the charging port.
Positioning your SPX

Start by positioning the display pod on your dominant eye side and bend the boom so it forms a slight “Z” shape. Place the device on your head so that it is horizontal with the ground and positioned above your ear, on the same side of your head as your dominant eye, along your temple area.

The display pod should be positioned towards your face’s centerline — the display in front of and slightly below your dominant eye and as close as possible.

Power up and connect

The power button is a dark square. It is the middle button between the 5 buttons on the face of the device. Press and hold down the button for about three seconds, then release. You will hear a sound in about ten seconds as the start-up sequence completes and the screen activates.

Fine-tune the position of the display pod until you can see the entire SPX homescreen.
