Collection and Use of Your Personal Information
Hippo, or where relevant a designated service provider, may collect personal information that you choose to provide or we may receive from other sources. This may include personal information you provide through the HIVE website, on third party websites and applications when subscribing digitally to the HIVE or other Hippo sites through registering for our services and products, through requesting certain Hippo services, products or information, by submitting the information to request a subscription, proposal, additional information and other materials regarding Hippo products, services and the HIVE subscription service and content.
We and certain designated service providers, may obtain the following types of personal information in connection with the HIVE and other Hippo sites: Name, email address, postal address, account names and passwords, or other contact information, signature, online identifier, Internet Protocol address or other identifiers, Professional industry, employment-related or education information; Internet website, application, advertisement information; Demographic information; Billing information, credit card number, expiration date, security code and/or other financial information.
If you choose to link your Social Media or other third-party accounts to any of our services, we may obtain your personal information from those sources. You may disconnect this link at any time by visiting your account page on these third-party platforms or the settings page of your mobile device.
We use this information for the HIVE subscription service and carefully considered purposes which also benefit our subscribers, contributors and content providers, and which include some or all of the following:
● To provide and facilitate our services and products to operate our HIVE site, content, products, services and systems property to communicate with subscribers/you to help Hippo improve, upgrade, ,or enhance our services and products and develop new services and products;
● To provide support for our HIVE content, services and products, to maintain the quality and safety of products, content and subscription services and for our internal quality control purpose including debugging to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended site functionality to provide you with appropriate content, offers and promotions about services and products of Hippo or of other parties that may be of interest to you to enhance your experience with the HIVE site, including providing customized content or contextual advertisements and product offerings, and providing tailored services to analyze website usage, analyze use of the HIVE site, analyze and measure ad impressions, and to protect the interests, rights, safety, or property of Hippo or others and to monitor compliance with and enforce the terms of any agreement with Hippo to monitor to detect security incidents and protect against malicious, deception, fraudulent, or illegal activity and hold those responsible for that activity;
● Hippo or a designated service provider may also take any and all actions required or necessary to security and other protective purposes for subscribers, content providers and others.

Hippo, the HIVE and the parties with whom we work (e.g. service providers, content providers, contributors, business partners, HIVE sponsors, ad/technology providers and others) may place, view, and/or use “cookies”, web server logs, web beacons, pixels or other electronic technologies to collet statistical and other information about our subscribers and their use of the HIVE site. This information may include information about your IP address, browser type, language, your mobile devices, geolocation data, the state or country from which you accessed the HIVE site, the webpages and content visited, the date and time of the visit, the website you visited immediately before and after visiting this Site, the number of links you click within this Site, the functions you use on the HIVE site, the types of articles and content you read, the data you use save on or download from this Site and the number of ties you view the HIVE site or an advertisement.
Hippo and the parties with whom we work including sponsors, contributors of content and our affiliates may use the information collected for various reasons including research, analysis and other market research and site content matters to better serve subscribers to this Site to compile aggregate and anonymous information about usage of the HIVE site and other websites, statistics and to study/research user experience. However, if you have deleted and disabled cookies, these uses will not be possible to the extent they are based on cookie information.
Most browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually set your browser to disable cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. Likewise, most mobile devices allow you to disable the ability for geo-location information to be collected from your mobile device. Hippo may also disclose your personal information to unaffiliated third parties if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with any applicable law, rule or regulation, or in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process ; (b ) protect the interests, rights, safety, or property of Hippo or others; ( c ) monitor compliance with and enforce any terms of service on the HIVE site; (d) provide our services and products (including allowing a purchaser of Hippo UX, Inc. Hippo Technologies, or a Hippo affiliate or reseller to continue to serve you); (f) provide you with product and services offers, promotions and other materials from Hippo; or (g) operate the systems that provide our services and products property.
The collection, further use, and/.or disclosure of your information by Third-Party Providers or by other third parties is not the responsibility of Hippo. Rather, such collection, use, and/or disclosure is governed by the third parties’ privacy policies.
Accuracy, Security and Retention of Your Personal Information
Any personal information you provide to Hippo is kept on secure servers. Hippo uses security measures appropriate to the provision of the relevant service or product such as reasonable administrative, technical, personnel, and physical measures (a) to safeguard personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized use, disclosure, or modification; and (b) to ensure the integrity of the personal information. To help us protect your privacy, you should maintain the secrecy and confidentiality of any login ID and password you may need to use and have to set up the connection with your participation in the HIVE site’s services. Personal information is retained for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it is collected, including legitimate business reasons, and/or legal and regulatory requirements.

Certain information about our collection, use, sale, or disclosure of your personal information deletion of our personal information collected or maintained by us to opt-out of the sale of your personal information.
