The COVID-19 pandemic and new flexibility from the federal government led to massive increases in telemedicine use across the healthcare industry.“Telemedicine use during COVID-19 varied across different clinical settings and patient populations, with lower use found among insurance enrollees in disadvantaged areas,” the study said.Before COVID-19 hit the U.S., fewer than 2% of clinicians in each of the specialties examined used telemedicine.
